Replace motor

Most commercial air handling fans can be rebuilt cheaper than they can be replaced. We are not talking about small plastic bodied kitchen and bathroom fans in private premises. But the large fans in commercial kitchens and heat and ventilating systems. Replacing or rewinding the electric motors and bearings in these fans is usually economically viable.

These days there is also a justification concerning recycling rather than replacing as it saves the energy and raw materials associated with manufacturing new fans.
